Description

The Utrecht Balele Community Game Park is situated around the town of Utrecht. It covers an area of 2500 ha, including the surrounding mountains. Over 15 Species of game may be found roaming the Park including Giraffe, Kudu, Zebra and Leopard.

Venison

The game park has a registered Game Abattoir and can supply all your venison requirements for restaurants and supermarkets.

Acommodation

For the overnight visitor looking for a little luxury there is the magnificent Kiepersol Lodge complex with four upmarket lodges and two luxury Safari Tents. The whole lodge caters for 28 people, but each unit is fully self contained offering a perfect self catering family getaway. Kiepersol lodge is built around a central lapa and swimming pool on the mountain slopes below the cliffs overlooking the game park.

Kudu Lodge: Sleeps 9 people in 3 bedrooms with open plan kitchen and lounge with fireplace Includes main Lapa.

Giraffe Lodge: Honeymoon suite with a jet bath and veiled bed, open plan lounge and fireplace.

Impala and Zebra Lodges: Family units sleep 4 with open plan kitchen and lounge and an outside patio with braai.

For the more adventurous who like to camp out under the stars or rough it a little there is a Bush camp - Situated at the far end of the game park lies six beautiful camp sites on the banks of the Doornspruit, with braai places, hot showers and flush toilets.

The Old Weltervreden Farm House offers rustic accommodation for school groups, sports camps and hikers.

The Upmarket Safari Tents each sleep 4 people. They are well positioned close to the Kiepersol Lodge yet surrounded by trees to ensure awesome views and absolute privacy.

Nyala Safari Tent: Situated in a secluded forest alongside a trickling stream. Has a large sundeck under the forest canopy - a bird watcher's paradise.

Bushbuck Safari Tent: Overlooks the forest canopy and cliffs above. Magnificent views of the mountain. Includes two hammocks on the sundeck.
