Description

Originally built in the 1940's, at the famous watering hole along the Lourenco Marques / Durban route, this gracious old lodge was purchased by the Zulu Nyala Group in September 1996. The building has been restored to its former colonial grandeur, enhanced with a delightfully decadent ambience, and added new accommodation facilities, themed to highlight Zululand's unique cultural development.

The estate adjoins the Zulu Nyala Game Reserve, and games drives, river boat cruises and clay pigeon shooting at Zulu Nyala can be arranged on request subject to availability.

Tours to neighbouring game reserves can be arranged. The hotel has 59 twin rooms available and 42 luxury safari tents and is ideally situated for access to many 'heritage' and conservation sites in the region, which guests may explore privately.
