Description

Nkonkoni is a fisherman's camp that dreams are made of. All the creature comforts one would ever need wrapped in the ruggedness of the unspoilt Maputaland bushveld, on the shores of Lake Pongola. Nkonkoni Tiger Fishing Camp is uniquely nestled in the Pongola Biosphere and is part of a bird sanctuary.

Please note the boat launch site is less than 1km away from the camp.

Central Location

Nkonkoni Tiger Fishing Camp is centrally poised, close to many sort-after destinations. One can take a day trip into Swaziland, or go salt-water fly-fishing at Kosi Bay, and still arrive there for breakfast. The options are endless, with several KZN game parks and Maputaland jewels waiting to be explored, all within a reasonable driving distance.

Come and join us & enjoy our beautiful part of Africa, where the rising and falling of the sun mark time and where the beauty of our lake will be engraved on your heart for years to come. Bring a boat, your rods, a camera and plenty of spare time. Don't forget the braai goodies and the refreshments too!
